“Boilin’ with a Mission” is a community-focused fundraising event hosted by Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Monroe, NC. This annual shrimp boil and silent auction brings together families, local businesses, and neighbors for an evening of food, fellowship, and support for a meaningful cause.
Proceeds from the event benefit our Capital Improvement Campaign, which helps preserve and restore our historic church campus so it can continue serving as a place of worship, education, and outreach for generations to come.

About Bethlehem Presbyterian Church
Founded in 1832, Bethlehem Presbyterian Church has long served as a beacon of hope and light in the Fairview and Monroe communities. We are committed to worship, service, and outreach—living out our faith through action.
We support programs like our monthly Senior Suppers, where we prepare and deliver home-cooked meals to our senior members to show love, care, and connection.
We also host seasonal events for our congregation and neighbors and maintain an active Missions Committee that supports local causes each month—often offering help quietly and compassionately when needs arise.
Our outreach extends into the community as we:
- Partner with local schools to support staff and fundraising efforts
- Provide meals for school athletic teams throughout the season
- Care for our local fire department through food, encouragement, and intentional connection
- Collaborate with the Town of Fairview during events like the Easter Egg Hunt, town concerts, and Winter Fest, where we hand out over 700 cups of hot chocolate—free of charge—to spread warmth and cheer
